15-Minute Columbus: libraries & rec centers

How far are you from a library or a recreation center? Every one is a dot — blue for libraries, orange for rec centers. Turn on the walk-sheds to see a ~15-minute straight-line circle around each, or search your address to find the nearest of each. Click any dot for its details.

How to read this map

Each dot is a public library (blue) or recreation center (orange). Toggle either kind off in the legend to isolate the other. Turn on walk-sheds to draw a ~1.2 km circle around each amenity — roughly a 15-minute walk.

Those circles are straight-line (“as the crow flies”) distance, not walking routes. They do not account for rivers, railroads, or highways — the Scioto River is not walkable, so a circle that spans it overstates who can actually reach that amenity on foot. Read them as an optimistic upper bound on access. True walk-time isochrones over the street network are the planned upgrade.
