Who represents me?
Every Chicago address sits inside a stack of districts — a ward with its alderperson, an Illinois House and Senate district, and a U.S. congressional district. Search your address to see all of them at once and who holds each seat, or switch layers and click any district on the map. Looking up just your ward? Who is my alderman? Or see the full 50-ward map.
How to read this map
Pick a layer at the top of the map — City Council (the 50 wards), Illinois House, Illinois Senate, or U.S. Congress — and each area on the map is one district in that layer. Colors just distinguish neighbors; they carry no ranking. Click a district, or search your address, to see who represents it.
The address search is the fastest path: it drops a pin and lists your district in every layer, with the current officeholder. Your alderperson comes from the City’s Ward Offices roster (the as-of date shows on the ward layer); the state legislators are hydrated from the Illinois General Assembly roster.
Two layers aren’t shown. Chicago is a single school district — the Chicago Public Schools district covers the whole city, so there is no per-district school map. And the Cook County Board commissioner districts aren’t in our boundary set yet; when they land they’ll be added here.
